Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the flyweight division. She is also the older sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina later won an award of Silver in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008, a Golden medal in 2011, in the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia began her professional career at the age of 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko began the professional phase of her MMA professional career back in the year 2002 after an impressive win against Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious by TKO in the second round and was able to take home two fights following and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to concentrate on kickboxing. She returned to the ring in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous win. She went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She left in 2018 the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina demonstrated her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera by knees. After this win, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina received an UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi in the unanimous verdict. She then was unable to win her next fight because of an unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko was 2-2 in her three subsequent matches she won over Ariane Lipski, while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
