Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV host in America and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell hosts on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde wigs and a pumped-up persona, shows how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. While living in the New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. She pursued her love of food and restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful opportunity for me. I couldn't seem to get enough out of the experience. After graduation, Burrell spent one year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. While in Italy she gained an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food and culture. This will have a significant impact on how Burrell approaches her cuisine. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of children who are struggling. Burrell is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate, where she raises awareness about young diabetics. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion, and also shares her experiences in the food world, as she regularly goes on trips across the USA in both her roles as speaker and mentor. Anne has, through her whole experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to share this passion for life with others.
