Sasha Allen can be described as the only transgender person who has reached The Battle Rounds of The Voice Live Shows. That has been the case for the past 21 seasons. They are now the two from Newtown, Conn., has taken it even a move further to be in the Top 8! Sasha announced that he was transgender at the time they announced their auditions at the Blind Auditions. According to Parade.com, this was not a decision that was made in a hurry. "That was a really hard choice to make as you are showing a very vulnerable part of yourself in front of millions and millions folks," said Sasha, whom he transitioned to while at high school. The week before, during Fan Week, watching the support from people and their reactions as well as the ways it affected them that it was well-worth the risk. The Voice wasn't even around at the time we performed this track. This was an incredible surprise. The track was something we already knew, and we had many ideas to arrange. It was quite amazing that the crowd have hit the nail on the head."
